What needs to be rebuilt
Lawmatics automations are visual workflow trees that do not export 1:1. During migration, your existing automations are translated into GavelGrow SMS + email sequences. Most common patterns (welcome flow, missed-call follow-up, consultation reminder, no-show recovery, post-consult nurture) ship as templates so the rebuild is mostly review-and-adjust rather than build-from-scratch.
Migration timeline
- Week 1 — Discovery + export. Migration engineer audits your Lawmatics setup: which automations matter, which custom fields are in use, what reporting matters. Lawmatics CSV export.
- Week 1-2 — Setup + import. GavelGrow account configured with practice-area templates. CSV import with field mapping. Automations rebuilt from Lawmatics audit.
- Week 2 — Verification + parallel run. 3-5 day parallel period: leads flow into both Lawmatics and GavelGrow. Verify lead-for-lead match before cutover.
- Week 2-3 — Cutover. Point all intake forms, Google Ads, and tracking numbers at GavelGrow. Cancel Lawmatics.
Common questions
Lawmatics has document automation. Does GavelGrow?
GavelGrow stores documents per case record with secure client uploads (encrypted at rest, audit-logged). Native document automation (auto-fill engagement letters, etc.) is on the 2027 roadmap. For now, most firms either keep Lawmatics document templates running during a transition or move to a dedicated tool (DocuSign, PandaDoc).
What about Lawmatics’ billing integration?
Billing stays in your accounting system (QuickBooks, Clio Manage, etc.). GavelGrow focuses on the marketing + acquisition funnel up to signed case.
